Applications are now open for the 2025 Oil and Gas Technical Apprenticeship Programme OGTAP. The Oil and Gas Technical Apprenticeship Programme OGTAP scheme, was launched in 1999 to create a sustainable pipeline of skilled and competent technicians globally.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to apply for the 2025 Oil and Gas Technical Apprenticeship Programme OGTAP
Selected Apprentices will complete the four-year apprenticeship across four disciplines:
- Instrumentation and control Maintenance
- Electrical maintenance
- Mechanical hmaintenance
- Process operations.

Requirements for Oil and Gas Technical Apprenticeship Programme OGTAP
To be considered for the OGTAP Oil & Gas Internship Program, you must:
- All applicants must domicile or must be willing to relocate to the UK for the duration of the course and training to be eligible for the programme.
- Travel support, visa and work permit will be issued to foreign citizens on succesfull application.
- Applicants must have a National Identity Number (NIN) before applying for the OGTAP Scheme.
- Applicants are to note that they will be required to verify their NIN before proceeding with the application (NIMC verification charges apply).
- Must be 16-35 years of age by May of the year of applying,
- Ordinary Level (O’ Level) WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or NBAIS – either external (GCE) or internal and must have a credit grade C in the following subjects.
- Mathematics
- English
- Physics,
- Chemistry
- One Other
Note: We will also consider your application if you have the below qualifications in Engineering, Sciences and other related fields
- Diploma (OND & Others)
- Higher National Diploma (HND/NCE & Others)
- Bachelor Degree (BSc/BENG & Others)
