Chemical Analyst at Jawa Group of Companies(Jawasil)

Jawa Group of Companies is a Nigerian pharmaceutical manufacturing and healthcare company focused on the production, marketing, and distribution of quality medicines and healthcare products.

We are inviting suitably qualified candidates to join our team as a Chemical Analyst.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using HPLC, GC, UV/Vis, titrations, and other analytical techniques.
• Ensure all tests are conducted according to SOPs, GMP guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze and interpret results to ensure compliance with specifications including potency, purity, pH, and other quality attributes.
• Prepare samples for analysis according to required standards.
• Maintain and calibrate analytical instruments to ensure accuracy and precision.
• Maintain accurate records of testing activities, observations, and results.
• Prepare test reports and Certificates of Analysis (COA) in line with regulatory standards.
• Review and verify results before final approval.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, NAFDAC, and company quality standards.
• Follow laboratory safety protocols and proper handling/disposal of chemicals.
• Participate in audits and support method validation and verification.
• Support stability testing, method development, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Collaborate with QA and Production teams to resolve quality issues.

Requirements

• B.Sc/HND in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
• Experience in chemical analysis or related laboratory work.
• Knowledge of key laboratory concepts and analytical procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in laboratory data analysis and interpretation.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
