Job Summary:
The Instrumentation and Control Engineer plays a critical role in the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of instrumentation, automation, and control systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
- This position involves monitoring and troubleshooting control systems.
- Calibrating and maintaining instrumentation equipment and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- The Instrumentation and Control Engineer works closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project teams to ensure that instrumentation and control systems perform effectively and support the achievement of operational objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g, Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.)
- Minimum of 3–7 years of relevant experience in instrumentation and control engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience in installation, commissioning, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems.
- Experience working in both onshore and offshore operational environments.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering and field operations teams.
- Knowledge of pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement systems.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with wellhead and Christmas tree control systems, including hydraulic and electro-hydraulic systems.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
