We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Mobile Equipment Technician – Electrical to maintain and repair our fleet of Mobile Harbor Cranes, spreaders, and other terminal equipment. This role is critical in ensuring our equipment operates reliably, safely, and cost-effectively—supporting consistent service delivery and business performance.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems on cranes and terminal equipment.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and availability.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control systems to resolve breakdowns quickly and efficiently.
- Work closely with the Crane Supervisor to execute maintenance plans and improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and time taken.
- Assist in recovering equipment involved in incidents using proper rigging procedures.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in electrical maintenance of heavy mobile equipment.
- Solid understanding of control systems, circuits, and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with Occupational Health & Safety practices and safe working procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to support other maintenance tasks when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical/vocational qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with Mobile Harbor Cranes or similar container handling equipment.
- Knowledge of rigging procedures and safety protocols.
