Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook who specializes in Chinese and African cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Chinese culinary traditions, techniques, and flavors. They should be able to prepare a wide variety of Chinese and African dishes with precision and creativity, ensuring the highest quality of taste and presentation.
Requirements:
- Plan and develop a diverse and authentic Chinese and African menu.
- Stay updated on current food trends and incorporate innovative ideas into menu offerings.
- Cook a variety of Chinese and African dishes.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, texture, and presentation.
- Monitor and manage inventory to minimize waste and ensure optimal freshness.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines in food preparation and kitchen practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace/Kitchen.
- Receive and incorporate feedback from guests to continuously improve the quality of dishes.
- Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing menus and seasonal variations in ingredient availability.
- Handle special dietary requests and customize dishes as needed.
- Attend to any other assigned responsibilities
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chinese and African Cuisine Cook or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and regional variations.
- Strong organizational and food presentation skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
