FIRS Announces Physical Screening Date for 2025 Recruitment, Shortlisted Candidates

The Federal Inland Revenue Service is Nigeria’s apex tax authority, responsible for assessing, collecting, and accounting for tax revenues to the federal government. The ongoing recruitment underscores its commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery.

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has invited shortlisted candidates to a physical documentation exercise as part of its ongoing recruitment process.

The exercise is scheduled to hold on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the FIRS Training School, Lagos, located at 2b Lateef Jakande Road, Beside LTV 8 Agidigbi, Ikeja.

Candidates are required to arrive by 11:00 am and come prepared with original documents and three copies each, including:

  • Means of identification (National ID, International Passport, or Driver’s License)
  • Curriculum Vitae (with personal and educational details)
  • Educational certificates (First School Leaving Certificate, WASSCE/NECO, Degree, NYSC, etc.)
  • Professional qualifications (ICAN, ACCA, CITN, etc.)
  • Birth certificate (issued by the National Population Commission)
  • Indigene certificate from Local Government Council
  • Medical fitness certificate (from a government hospital, dated not earlier than April 30, 2025)
  • Pension and National Housing Fund registration evidence
  • Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
  • Four recent passport photographs

The FIRS recruitment exercise, announced on November 2, 2024, aims to fill specialized roles such as Tax Officer I and Tax Officer II to strengthen the agency’s workforce.

After the application window closed on November 14, 2024, shortlisted candidates proceeded to the aptitude test phase, conducted by TIGH Technologies Limited on February 12, 2025.

The physical documentation marks the next critical stage in the recruitment process. FIRS has advised candidates to strictly adhere to the scheduled date and time and ensure all required documents are complete to avoid disqualification.
