The Executive Governor of Rivers, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara will on Tuesday, 18th June, 2024 announce the list of Interim management team to head the local government areas in the State following the Expiration of the Former Council Chairmen whose tenue Elapsed on the 16th of June.
Meanwhile, the governor will be holding a statewide broadcast following the Expiration of Council Chairmen and Counselors in the State on 18th June. 2024
In a statement signed by Nelson Chukwudi, Chief Press Secretary to the Rivers State Governor enjoin the people of Rivers State to tune in to all Radio and Television Stations by 7am

In another development, the Rivers State Commissioner of Police Cp Tunji Disu, while addressing some newsmen in Port Harcourt, said they are ready to protect the facilities of government in the state.
