1.) Plant Operator
Job description
- Take daily records, operate and maintain the chiller machine.
- Clean and operate the cooling tower machine in the Plant room.
- Operate and maintain plant pumps.
- Maintain and clean valves.
- Wash filters of the air handling unit.
- Perform any other job-related task as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any other related field with a minimum of two (2) years experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
The ideal candidate must:
- Be able to read a circuit diagram.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

2.) Electrical Supervisor
Job description
- Repair and maintain electrical aspects, controls, and cables of 2X300 tons and 2X600 tons of Central A/C chillers.
- Repair and maintain high-current control panels, condensers, and electric motors in the central chilling plant.
- Repair and maintain cooling towers for condensers in the chilling plant.
- Repair and maintain Air Handling units (AHU) and cold stores in major buildings.
- Repair and maintain all electrical aspects of Gene-bank cold stores.
- Read sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Monitor and update the inventory of spare parts.
- Perform any other job-related task as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- BSc/HND in Mechanical Engineering or any other related field with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Have a good working knowledge of the chilling plant.
- Have the ability to read engineering drawings in detail.
- Have the ability to use basic Microsoft software.

3.) Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Supervisor
Job description
- Coordinate daily R&A workshop activities and organize work schedules for all refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment.
- Allocate subordinates for servicing, maintenance, and replacing of R&A equipment.
- Supervise subordinates to ensure jobs are carried out effectively.
- Provide daily information on completed work, work in progress, and pending jobs.
- Schedule quarterly preventive maintenance of R&A equipment.
- Supervise staff in air conditioning and refrigerating unit.
- Read sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Monitor and update the inventory of spare parts.
- Perform any other job-related task as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

4.) News Reporting Technician
Job description
- Cover and document Institute’s events and stories for Radio IITA including live reports.
- Schedule and conduct news interviews.
- Create and develop news stories.
- Write, edit, and submit a copy of news stories.
- Perform any other job-related task as may be assigned by the Supervisors.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Mass communication or any other related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have good communication skills (writing, reading, and speaking).
- Have good knowledge of journalism, digital literacy and audio production.
- Have ethics to broadcast journalism and pay attention to details.

5.) Fabrication Supervisor
Job description
- Supervise and make requisitions for materials needed for different projects/jobs.
- Assist in preparing monthly chargeback of work done and supervise the fabrication workshop.
- Assist to fabricate and install/fixing equipment like heat exchangers, dryers, and other processing equipment.
- Design and construct any engineering project that relates to fabrication.
- Supervise all the activities going on in the machinist workshop and spare production.
- Ensure the turner machine and other tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Perform any other job-related task as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- BSc/HND in Mechanical Engineering or any other related field with a minimum of two (2) years experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Have a good working knowledge of lathe machines, milling machines and shaping machines.
- Have the ability to read engineering drawings in detail.
- Have the ability to use basic Microsoft software.
