Job Summary
Optimize production using their technical expertise in well, reservoir, and facility performance. They will enhance data quality, planned production, and coordinate across functions to maximize asset value.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily integrated surveillance of production and injection systems.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of production data and metering systems.
- Drive short and mid-term production planning and execution.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize optimization and cost-reduction opportunities.
- Coordinate well interventions, artificial lift optimization, and surface facility constraints.
- Provide strategic input to shut down planning and production forecasts.
- Manage idle and developable volume inventory; maintain constraint maps.
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical decision-making.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division (2.1) in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical engineering or related disciplines.
- 7-10 years in production engineering and optimization roles, process engineering or facilities engineering roles.
- Expertise in artificial lift, well testing, data analytics, and field development.
- Strong economic evaluation and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in production software (e.g., OFM, IPM, Spotfire) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
Required Skills
The candidate will be fully integrated into the production teams, working closely with both operational and technical staff to achieve exceptional production results.
