Responsibility:
- Manage and oversee project quality to ensure compliance with code, standards, regulations, equipment, specific specifications, and Q.M.S requirements.
- Review all project’s work scope and packages to ensure inclusion of all quality procedures and implementations.
- Review construction contractors’ quality management plan at the start of construction to verify compliance with project specifications, international standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and determine standards to perform inspection and test on all procedures oversee all testing methods and maintain a high standard of quality.
- Management of all contractor’s QA/QC activities during all project execution to ensure product/service quality deliverables, which is a major project objective.
- Support Facilities Engineers in performing integrity assessment monitoring of facilities.
- Render QA/QC support services during major plant turnaround maintenance activities.
- Participate in the technical evaluation of procured materials by ensuring material inspection and testing at the point of receiving.
- Review of engineering designs and drawings as they affect the project’s product/service quality delivery.
- Coordinate project closeout activities for assigned projects.
- Participate actively in Departmental meetings, including in the review of minutes of such meetings.
- Any other work related to the business as assigned by the GM of Engineering & Projects or other Senior Management.
Accountabilities
- Ensure QA/QC requirements are properly defined during the project planning phase.
- Timely reporting and escalating of project QA/QC activities and concerns to management.
- Collation of all QA/QC records and other details for use in As-Built documentation for the facility.
- Maintain project QA/QC data during project execution and update project documents as necessary upon project completion.
- Review and acceptance of contractors’ quality management plans in project execution.
- Ensure all relevant engineering designs and calculations conform to industry standards and meet the corporate quality requirements.
- Ensure temporary or ad hoc personnel engaged to manage QA/QC deliverables during project execution uphold corporate QA/QC principles.
- Advance the course of quality achievement and performance improvement in the organization.
Minimum Requirements:
- HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with
- A minimum of 15 years working experience.
Experience & Skills:
- Welding and Fabrication Engineering Certification.
- Relevant ASME and API Certifications.
- Advanced working experience in piping design and construction, project planning, project reporting, mechanical construction, shutdown maintenance planning, and execution both onshore and offshore.
- Knowledge of the oil and gas HSE policies and practices.
- Quality leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in project report writing and presentation.
- Computer literacy.
- Knowledge of oil & gas industry construction standards and codes such as American Petroleum Institute (API), American National Standard Institute (ANSI), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
- Knowledge of process, civil, electrical, mechanical, piping, E&I engineering designs, standards, and code of practices.
- Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings.
