Cozym Limited is a fast-emerging brand that consists of a highly skilled team of engineers and technical consultants dedicated to providing a wide array of services across multiple sectors such as Oil and Gas, Chemical, Power, Water and Aviation, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates based on the project’s scope, design, and client requirements.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that all costs are controlled and within budget parameters.
- Provide detailed breakdowns of costs for materials, labor, and overheads.
- Prepare tender documentation, including Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and pricing schedules.
- Issue and manage the tendering process, evaluate bids, and provide recommendations for contractor selection.
- Oversee procurement of materials and services to ensure timely delivery within the budget constraints.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring all terms are met.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and provide support in resolving disputes related to contract terms.
- Advise on and manage variations, including change orders and adjustments to the contract.
- Monitor and track project costs, identifying any discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct regular cost assessments and report progress to senior management and clients.
- Ensure that all project expenditures align with the project budget and forecast costs accurately.
- Identify financial risks and provide solutions to mitigate these risks.
- Conduct value engineering to optimize costs and propose cost-effective alternatives without compromising on quality or project requirements.
- Attend site visits to assess project progress and ensure that the work is in line with the contract terms and specifications.
- Review progress reports and inspect completed work to ensure quality control and compliance with cost estimates.
- Prepare the final account, summarizing all costs incurred during the project and ensuring all financial matters are closed.
- Provide comprehensive final reports for both internal and external stakeholders, comparing actual costs to initial estimates.
- Maintain accurate records of all cost-related documents, including contracts, invoices, and change orders.
- Produce monthly financial reports detailing project costs, forecasts, and any variations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification is an advantage.
- 2-3 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management, preferably in the construction or engineering sector.
- Experience in preparing cost estimates, handling contracts, and managing project budgets.
- Proficiency in Quantity Surveying software (e.g Excel, MS project).
- Strong knowledge of construction industry standards, contracts, and relevant regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
