Job Summary
The Ideal Candidat will be responsible for the efficient operation of the entire JBMS pharmacy department and strives to achieve goals that prioritize the best possible medical care for JBMS patients.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the efficient operation and full functionality of the entire JBMS pharmacy department
- Provide leadership, motivation, guidance and direction and support the professional development of employees in the pharmacy department and ensure their retention
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and transfer of learning within the respective fields of expertise as well as emphasize on continued education and teaching
- Ensure full pharmaceutical compliance and accountability at all levels of JBMS
- Supervise purchases of pharmaceuticals and consumables, coordinate with vendors and distributors, and supervise the adherence to contractual obligations in collaboration with the Finance Manager
- Etc.
Requirements:
- Pharmaceutical degree from an accredited university
- Valid license and certification
- Previous work experience in desired field or similar role is strongly desired
- Good knowledge of methods and procedures used in the practice of pharmacy
- Good knowledge of Federal laws pertaining to the dispensing and the use of prescription drugs
- Good knowledge of the composition, storage and uses of drugs
- Knowledge about purchasing pharmaceutical supplies and inventory
