We are seeking eligible and qualified candidates to fill the vacant position as an Account Payable and Receivable Officer

Job Summary

The Office holder has the primary responsibility for ensuring the payables and receivables position for the Company are presented accurately in the books and reports, by timely processing of transactions and managing reconciliations with vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Always live the core values, ACTION.
  • Daily processing of all Payable and Receivable invoices
  • Weekly Preparation of Payable and Receivable Ageing Reports.
  • Daily report on Outstanding Receivables of all Clients.
  • Monthly Preparation of Statutory Reports for employees’ PAYE, Pension, other compensation benefits and the Company’s WHT and VAT.
  • Maintain the Head Office Imprest system
  • Maintain an efficient filing and document retrieval system.
  • Timely application of Client inflows.
  • Managing and reconciling all Inter-company transactions.
  • Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Any other tasks as may be assigned by the Treasury Manager, Finance Manager and CFO.

Requirements:

  • A BSc Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in finance function(s)
  • Knowledge of sub-system applications and a basic understanding of their inter-relationship.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Evaluate competitors’ financial and operational performance for management.
  • Knowledge of AP and AR sub-system applications and understanding of their
  • inter-relaxtionship
  • Intermediate oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with peers and management staff.
  • Intermediate understanding of deductions (WHT, VAT, NCD and Cabotage) on
  • Vendor and Client invoices.
  • Ability to function independently and work in a team with good interpersonal skills.
  • Result and customer-oriented.
