A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has granted the request of an APC governorship aspirant, Ojukaye Flag-Amachree to join a case brought against the party’s governorship candidate, Tonye Cole.

Recall that another APC governorship aspirant, Bernard Mikko had approached the court asking for Tonye Cole to be disqualified claiming that the primary election contravened some sections of the new electoral act.

Mr Flag- Amachree, who came second had applied to join in the matter claiming that the outcome of the court proceedings will affect his participation in the party primary. Bernard Mikko’s lawyer opposed the application. But the presiding Judge, Justice Ayuah Phoebe in her ruling today, granted the application and adjourned to the 11th of October for hearing. Meanwhile, Tonye Cole’s Lawyer and INEC’s lawyer declined comment.
