Job Description

The Fleet Officer will play a vital role in managing the organization’s fleet of trucks. He/She will ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and utilization of the fleet to support timely deliveries, reduce costs, and uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement fleet management strategies to optimize truck utilization and performance.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate the movement of trucks to meet delivery requirements.
  • Monitor and track the fleet’s performance, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of trucks, ensuring they are in safe and operational condition.
  • Coordinate with drivers, mechanics, and other team members to address maintenance and operational issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs.
  • Monitor driver behavior and compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure the fleet adheres to local transportation regulations and environmental standards.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare reports on fleet performance, maintenance, and costs for management review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in fleet management, preferably in the Food and Beverage industry.
  • Strong understanding of truck maintenance, transportation regulations, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Attention to detail and data-driven mindset.
