IAUE: VC approves payment of School fees in two instalments

The newly appointed Acting Vice Chancellor, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, professor Okechukwu Onuchukwu have approved the payment of School fees in two instalments in the institution

This is coming Barely a week the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Barr. E.N Wike announced the appointment of Professor Okechukwu Onuchukwu, a Senior lecturer in the department of Economics, University of Port Harcourt as the Acting Vice chancellor of the Institution.

According to a statement signed by the School Public Relation Officer which reads in parts, says “Armed with the reality that most families are unable to cope with the current economic hardship in the country, the Acting Vice- Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Professor Okechuku Onuchuku has directed that postgraduate students revert to the old school fees rate,

By this notice all postgraduate students are to pay the old school fees rate. Those who can not pay once can pay in two instalments in each semester.

The Bursary Department has also been directed to accommodate this flexible mode of school fees payment by postgraduate students by ensuring the opening of the university portal twice semester by semester so that students can pay in two instalments.

Postgraduate students are therefore advised to take advantage of the window of opportunity provided for the payment of their school fees”

Despite this announcement, reactions trails as some students of the institution are still not comfortable due to the high increment in School fees going through the School Facebook page.
