1.) Maintenance Manager
Job Summary
The idea candidate will be responsible to Lead and manage the equipment maintenance, ensure optimal equipment performance at the project and all times. Participates in developing, interpreting, and implementing policies and procedures for the Maintenance to effectively support Asset reliability/availability in successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Supervise the planning and scheduling of the maintenance workloads to optimize use of resources, including personnel, time, tools, and equipment.
- Organize Maintenance Support Teams, as needed, to support project executions.
- Delegate appropriate responsibility for the support/provision of 95% support to equipment availability/reliability across the group.
- Establish Maintenance Department policies and procedures and ensure they are effectively enforced.
- Develop an annual budget that will adequately provide for required Maintenance activities. Review and report monthly on performance against budget.
- Plan and provide for an adequate supply and ensure control over spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Render monthly reports on maintenance activities to the OTM and the PM
- Carry out periodic maintenance audit.
- Execute an effective predictive and preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled down time.
- Provide positive and professional leadership to Operations and Technical staff in the Oilserv Group
Core/Technical
- Exercise significantly more judgment and independence in determining the methods and techniques required to solve unusually complex maintenance and repair problems.
- Maintain all operating equipment in satisfactory condition.
- Monitor the flow of spare parts request and ensure maintenance timelines are met.
- Provide advice on repair, overhaul, and modification of Company vehicles and equipment.
- Recommend modifications of existing equipment and facilities and the possible replacement of existing equipment which will improve operations and reduce maintenance costs.
- Recommend assets for disposal in line with company policy and oversee the disposal process to ensure good housekeeping.
- Undertake periodic measurement of divisional KPIs and initiate actions to re-align the KPIs to the divisional objectives.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensure zero LTI and Fatality while carrying out maintenance activities.
- Drive compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies, processes, procedures and applicable laws/legal requirements across Oilserv business.
- Take responsibility for their health & safety and those of stake holders across Oilserv business
Requirements
- HND / B.Sc. Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
- Professional membership is an added advantage
- 10 – 20 years’ experience in Asset maintenance / management
- 5 – 10 years’ experience in Logistics and Transport Management

2.) Maintenance Engineer:
Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Have general overview of the repair, overhaul, and modification of vehicles and equipment within the DIVISION
- Collate required data on the activities of their team which includes but not limited to availability and reliability of equipment under them, issue all applicable reports and utilize the reports to effect improvements on equipment availability
- Improve the mean time to repair by proactively ensuring the required spares are available for their team
- Ensures the quality of work meets the required standard and improves on the mean time between failures of repaired equipment.
- Supervise the planning and scheduling of the maintenance workloads to optimize use of resources, including personnel, time, tools, and equipment.
- Carry out periodic maintenance audit.
- Provide positive and professional leadership to Operations and Technical staff in the Oilserv Group
- Execute an effective predictive and preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled down time.
Core/Technical
- Exercise significantly more judgment and independence in determining the methods and techniques required to solve unusually complex maintenance and repair problems.
- Plan and improvise repair procedures, find ways to mechanically and physically adapt or alter items to fit and mesh into systems for which the items were not specifically designed, or find ways to diagnose and correct defects when existing methods and procedures do not give the desired results
- Independently determines work methods, sequences, tools, and equipment to use in making the extensive and complex repairs to the vehicles and equipment.
- Select and comply with technical manuals, illustrations, specifications, diagrams, schematics, and similar guides to make repairs and modifications according to specifications and procedures
- Provide advice on repair, overhaul, and modification of Company vehicles and equipment.
- Recommend modifications of existing equipment and facilities and the possible replacement of existing equipment which will improve operations and reduce maintenance costs.
- Undertake periodic measurement of divisional KPIs and initiate actions to re-align the KPIs to the divisional objectives.
- Determine the cause of malfunctions and advice the Foreman towards the repairs of a variety of heavy mobile equipment and vehicles, such as bulldozers, graders, excavators and similar heavy construction and earth moving vehicles; mobile cranes; heavy equipment; and heavy special purpose vehicles which have mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric systems.
- Maintain job work orders; keep record of labor; material, parts, supplies and other records necessary in the repair and maintenance process; control and release of serviced and repair vehicles
