The Manager of Marketing and Corporate Affairs is a dynamic role that combines expertise in marketing
strategies with a nuanced understanding of corporate communications and public relations. This individual is
responsible for crafting and disseminating the company’s messaging to both internal and external stakeholders,
driving brand awareness, and supporting the company’s overall strategic objectives. The role demands a
strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, capable of navigating the complexities of both marketing
and corporate affairs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and market share
- Oversee the production of all marketing materials, including brochures, press releases, website content,
- and online campaigns.
- Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to inform marketing decisions and strategic planning
- Manage social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition.
- Collaborate with sales teams to align marketing strategies with sales objectives and drive revenue growth,
- Drive the development and implementation of commercial strategies to improve sales performance and
- profitability
- Lead the analysis of sales data and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for
- improvement.
- Implement best practices in sales processes and customer relationship management to enhance efficiency
- and effectiveness
- Work closely with sales and product teams to align com mercial strategies with market needs and company
- goals
- Lead corporate communications, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms and alignment with
- the company ‘s strategic goals
- Manage media relations, acting as the company spokesperson when necessary, and respond to media
- inquiries promptly and professionally
- Develop and implement crisis communication strategies to protect the company’s reputation
- Oversee internal communications, ensuring employees are informed of company developments and
- initiatives.
- Engage with government, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to advocate for company interests,
- manage compliance issues, and maintain positive relationships.
Joint Responsibilities:
- Budget management for marketing and corporate affairs initiatives, ensuring a strong return on investment
- and cost-effectiveness.
- Stakeholder engagement, including customers, employees, investors, media, and other external partners,
- to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Performance measurement of marketing campaigns and corporate affairs initiatives to assess effectiveness
- and inform future strategies
- Leadership and team management, fostering a collaborative environment and supporting professional
- development.
Reporting Line:
- The Manager – Marketing and Corporate Affairs will report directly to the MD /CEO
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s
- degree is preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in a marketing and/or corporate affairs role, with a proven track record of
- success.
- Strong leadership skils and experience managing a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Deep understanding of marketing strategies, digital marketing tools, and public relations practices.
- Ability to think strategically and analyticaly, with a problem-solving mindset.
- Proficient in using marketing software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in the specific industry of the company.
- Experience in crisis management and media relations
- Professional certifications in marketing, public relations, or related fields.
Work Conditions:
- Office-based role with the possibility of remote work as per company policy,
- Regular office hours with the need for flexibility to accommodate deadlines and special events.
- Some travel may be required for media engagements, stakeholder meetings, and industry events

- Qualification
- Relevant Degree in Marketing, Management Studies, Business admin and other Social Science based
- discipline. Female Applicants are highly encouraged for gender balancing
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience at very senior’ position in an FMCG Industry.
- Ability to be multilingual and work with people of diverse culture is desirable.
- Indigenes of Akwa lbom State will be an added advantage.
