The Human Rights Desk of Rivers Police Command, Police headquarters, Moscow road, Port Harcourt has rescued a 13 year old girl from sex slavery in Ejekwu street, Eneka, Obio/Akpor LGA and arrested 42 year Old Mr Kolawale, a rig worker and married man with Children accused of defiling the teenage girl.
Some neighbours told our reporter that the suspect allegedly defiled the teenage girl two months ago and the suspect has constantly had carnal knowledge of the teenager.
The source disclosed that the teenage girl had informed some concerned neighbours her ordeal in the hands of her madam’s husband who has turned the minor to his sex slave.
We gathered that some women in the vicinity after compliant by the teenager, examined the private part of the teenage girl to ascertain the veracity of her claim and was shocked to observe the level of damage done to the minor’s female organ.
We learnt that some of the neighbours based on strength of their findings,quickly alerted the Police and the Police swung into action last Monday (October 16,2023) and rescued the teenager while the 42 year old suspect was arrested.
We reliably gathered that the result of medical examination conducted on the teenage girl showed the private part has was penetrated.
When contacted the Spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe Koko confirmed the incident
adding that the suspect has been detained and investigation is ongoing.
