Procurement Officer at Chi Farms Limited

Chi Farms Ltd. is an integrated poultry farm with breeding operations and processing of commercial broilers

Responsibilities:

• Identify potential suppliers/vendors, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate terms and conditions to secure favourable contracts for goods and services required by the organization.
• Generate purchase orders based on approved requisitions, ensuring accuracy in specifications, quantities and pricing and obtaining necessary approvals beforeprocessing orders.
• Ensures compliance with organizational procurement policies, as well as relevant laws and regulations governing procurement practices, such as fair competition, ethical standards and sustainability requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities including contracts, purchase orders, invoices and other relevant documentation to support auditing, reporting and compliance efforts
• Identify potential risks in procurement processes and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize operational, financial and reputational risks to the organization.

Requirements:

• Minimum of HND or Bsc in supply chain management, procurement or any other related field
• 3-5 years of working experience
• Proven experience as a procurement officer.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an added advantage
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
