Allegation: Court discharges, acquits Rivers Apc Chieftain

A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has discharged and acquitted the Deputy Chairman of Youth Movement in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chief FUBARA OHAKA over some charges filed against him by Federal government.

Chief OHAKA who is a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and former Director General of a campaign organization in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State has been standing trial on six counts of his alleged involvement in illegal oil bunkering, terrorism, Murder, Culticism, dealing on illegal refining products without licence, conspiracy amongst other charges preferred against him since 2022 by the Federal government through the Department of State Services.

Deliverying judgment in the matter, trial Judge Hon. Justice STEPHEN DALYOP-PAM held that federal government failed to provide evidence to back their claims hence failed to prove their allegations against the defendant.

Justice DALYOP-PAM however agreed on no case submission by the counsel to the defendant and thereby discharged and acquitted him.

Speaking to newsmen outside the courtroom, Chief FUBARA OHAKA said the court has vindicated him from every allegations and putting shame to the faces of all those who conspired to tarnished his good image.

Chief OHAKA commanded those who stood by him in the trailing times

It would interest you to know that on the 1st of may 2022, operatives of Department of State Services in a joint operation had invaded the Port Harcourt residence of Chief FUBARA OHAKA, broke through his fence to his bedroom and whisked him away.

It took months before Family, residents and friends discovered where he was been held and the reasons for holding him, leading to the Legal battle which has turn to his favour.
