Job Summary:

Responsibilities

  • Perform chest X-ray examination for medical fitness (Pre-employment and Periodical).

Job Summary

The Firewatch is responsible for monitoring hot work areas to prevent fires and ensure immediate response in case of ignition. They serve as the primary line of defence during welding, cutting, and grinding operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor the hot work area for fire hazards before, during, and after operations (typically 30 mins post-work).
  • Ensure appropriate fire extinguishers are available, charged, and correct for the hazard type.
  • Inspect the hot work area to ensure flammable materials are removed or covered with fire blankets.
  • Stop work immediately if a hazard arises or if conditions become unsafe.
  • Sound the alarm in case of fire and attempt to extinguish small fires if safe to do so.
  • Ensure hot work permits are valid and posted at the work site.
  • Prevent unauthorized entry into the hot work zone.
  • Communicate effectively with welders and supervisors.

The Storekeeper is responsible for the efficient management of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, issuing, and recording materials and equipment. This role ensures inventory accuracy and compliance with Nigerian Local Content material handling procedures and company HSE policies.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials using inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

20. SCAFFOLDERS

  • Department/Division: Civil / Access
  • Reports To: Scaffolding Foreman

Job Summary

Scaffolders erect and dismantle temporary metal scaffolding structures to provide access platforms for other workers.

Responsibilities

  • Unload scaffolding materials and prepare the base.
  • Fix uprights (standards), horizontals (ledgers), and diagonals (braces).
  • Lay decking/planking and install toe-boards and guard rails.
  • Dismantle scaffolding safely after use.
  • Maintain safety harness tie-off at all times.

Requirements:

  • SSCE/WAEC.
  • Trade Test I, II, III.
  • Professional Certifications & Licenses
  • Basic Scaffolding Training (CITB/CISRS Part 1 desirable).
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience.
  • Technical Skills & Competencies
  • Safe manual handling techniques.
  • Teamwork.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Speed and safety of erection.
  • Heights, exposed to weather.
  • Balance, agility, and strength.
  • Ability to inspect welds in difficult-to-access areas.

21. PERMIT FOCAL POINTS (AREA BASED)

  • Department/Division:HSE / Operations
  • Reports To: Permit Coordinator / Site Manager

Job Summary

The Permit Focal Point manages the Permit to Work (PTW) system for a specific site area, ensuring all high-risk activities are authorized and conflicting activities are managed.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and review PTW applications.
  • Verify that Risk Assessments and JHAs are attached and adequate.
  • Conduct site visits to verify isolation (LOTO) and gas test results before activation.
  • Maintain a display board of active permits.
  • Identify SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations) conflicts.
  • Audit closed permits for compliance.
  • Coordinate with Area Authority for permit authorization.

Requirements:

  • HND/B.Sc. in Engineering or Sciences.
  • Professional Certifications & Licenses
  • PTW System Certification (specific to IOCs like Shell, Chevron, etc.).
  • NEBOSH IGC.
  • Minimum 5 years in Oil & Gas operations.
  • Understanding of Process Safety.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Accuracy of permit documentation.
  • Zero incidents due to permit violations.
