The Edo State Government is carrying out a Civil Service Transformation and Enhancement Project as part of its Institutional Reform Agenda.

The Project is designed to develop the Human and Organizational capabilities required to deliver efficient services to the people of Edo State, and to Make Edo State great again.

We are recruiting for the Following Positions below:

1.) CONSULTANTS (FAMILY MEDICINE)

◾Grade: CONMESS 10
◾Job Code:PEXP06

Duties:

• Working in close proximity with a surgical team.
• lead the conduct of scheduled and emergency surgeries in their areas of specialization,
• maintaining the sterile field and monitoring the patient’s condition.
• Ensuring that the surgical team is working at peak performance. Manage post-operative recovery and follow-up care.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess a Basic Medical Degree (MBBS, MBBCh, FWACS or equivalent).
• must be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
• Possess a current practicing license and be certified by the West African College of Surgeons or National Post-Graduate Medical College of Nigeria or other specialist certification bodies.
• Must have a minimum of 10years relevant experience, including at least 2years as a
• Surgeon with specialization in General Surgery.
• Additional qualifications may be an added advantage.

2.) CONSULTANTS (RADIOLOGY)

Duties:

4.) PHARMACIST

Duties:

• Dispensing prescription to in and out patients and keeping the prescription records as required by law.
• Controlling and issuing drugs.
• Taking charge of the activities of a zonal medical store.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess a Degree in Pharmacy.
• Registrable with the Pharmacist Registration Board of Nigeria.
• Completed NYSC.
• Additional qualifications may be an added advantage.

5.) PHARMACIST TECHNICIANS

Duties:

• Dispensing prescribed drugs under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assisting the pharmacist in keeping proper record of drugs issued from the central store.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the pharmacy and pharmacy equipment

• Candidate must possess a Basic Degree Certificate from the School of Health Technology and
• must have a minimum of 3years certification.

6.) NURSING OFFICER

Duties:

• Supervising junior staff.
• Developing individual nursing care plans based upon nursing diagnosis.
• Identifying needs and establishing priorities for nursing.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor of Nursing Science from a recognized institution and duly registered with the Nursing and Midwife Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
• Candidate must also possess a valid current practicing license with a minimum of 2 years’ working experience.
