Job Description

The Warehouse Officer will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and organized operation of the organization’s warehouse. They will ensure the timely receipt, storage, retrieval, and dispatch of goods to meet customer demands and maintain inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Organize and arrange products within the warehouse to optimize space and facilitate easy retrieval.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill orders and ensure timely dispatch.
  • Supervise the loading and unloading of trucks and ensure safe handling of products.
  • Implement and enforce proper warehouse safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and audits to prevent discrepancies.
  • Manage a team of warehouse staff and provide training as needed.
  • Continuously improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse operations to management.

Requirements

  • HND; Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
  • 5+ years proven experience as a Warehouse Officer or similar role in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
