About Obagi Host Community Development Trust

Obagi Oilfield HCDT is a creation of law by an act of parliament under the Nigerian laws, birthed via the Petroleum Industry Act. This is in recognition of the critical role played by host communities where the oil exploration activities take place and are directly impacted by operational and environmental challenges. With the creation of the HCDT via the petroleum industry act, the host communities were provided with a platform to drive their own development agenda, ranging from health, education, economic development, economic empowerment through skill acquisition and trade facilitation and support, security, electricity, road constructions, flood control/support, cultural development, industrialization, and other related social amenities and enterprising.

Obagi Oilfield HCDT comprises of four (4) major ethnic kingdom of Egi, Igburu, Ekeye and Ikwerre. Specially grouped into Egi Cluster, Idu-Ama Cluster, Ekpeye Cluster and Rumuekpe Cluster.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible, candidates must possess the following requirements below;
