In line with the THEMES Agenda of the present administration and in fulfilling the promise of qualitative healthcare delivery to the residents of Lagos State, Mr. Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu approved the recruitment of clinical staff to fill the existing vacancies in the twenty-nine (29) Secondary Healthcare Facilities in the State.

The move is aimed at reducing the effect of brain drain and ensuring that the residents of the State get optimal care.

Vacancies exist in the following positions:

1. CONSULTANT

• MBBS degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution
• Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in the respective specialty
• Registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria
• Valid License to Practice
• NYSC Discharge / Exemption Certificate
• WAEC certificate or its equivalent

2. MEDICAL & DENTAL OFFICERS

• MBBS or BDS degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution
• Registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria
• Valid License to Practice
• NYSC Discharge / Exemption Certificate
• WAEC certificate or its equivalent

3. MEDICAL AND DENTAL HOUSE OFFICERS

• MBBS/BDS Degree or Statement of Result of MBBS/BDS
• Registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria
• Provisional License to Practice
• WAEC certificate or its equivalent

4. PHARMACIST

• BPharm from an accredited institution
• Registration with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria
• Valid License to Practice
• NYSC Discharge / Exemption Certificate
• WAEC certificate or its equivalent

5. PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

• Pharmacy Technician Certificate from an accredited institution
• Registration with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria
• Valid License to Practice
• WAEC certificate or its equivalent

6. NURSING OFFICER

• Bachelor of Nursing Science Certificate (BNSC) from an accredited institution
• Post Basic Nursing in the aforementioned specialties will be an added advantage
• Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
• Valid License to Practice
• NYSC Discharge / Exemption Certificate as applicable
• WAEC certificate or its equivalent

7. DIETICIAN / NUTRITIONIST

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics / Nutrition from an accredited institution
• Registration with the Institute of Dietetics of  Nigeria
• Valid License to Practice
• NYSC Discharge / Exemption Certificate
• WAEC certificate or its equivalent

8. PHYSIOTHERAPIST

• Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution
• Registration with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board of Nigeria
• Valid License to Practice
• NYSC Discharge / Exemption Certificate
• WAEC certificate or its equivalent

9. RADIOGRAPHER

• Bachelor’s degree in Radiography or any other equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
• Registration with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria
• Valid License to Practice
• NYSC Discharge / Exemption Certificate
• WAEC certificate or its equivalent

10. OPTOMETRIST

• Doctor of Optometry or any other equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
• Registration with the Optometry Registration Board of Nigeria
• Valid License to Practice
• NYSC Discharge / Exemption Certificate
• WAEC certificate or its equivalent

11. HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT OFFICER / TECHNOLOGIST

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management from an accredited institution
• HND in Health Information Management from an accredited institution
• Registration with the Health Information Registration Board of Nigeria
• Valid License to Practice
• NYSC Discharge / Exemption Certificate
• WAEC certificate or its equivalent

12. HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT TECHNICIAN

• Technician Certificate in Health Information Management from an accredited institution
• Registration with the Health Information Registration Board of Nigeria
• Valid License to Practice
• WAEC certificate or its equivalent

13. MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

• Technician Certificate in Medical Laboratory from an accredited institution
• Registration with the Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria
• Valid Permit to Practice
• WAEC certificate or its equivalent

14. DENTAL TECHNICIAN

• Certificate in Dental Technician from an accredited institution
• Registration with the Dental Council of Nigeria
• Valid Permit to Practice
• WAEC certificate or its equivalent

15. DENTAL THERAPIST

• Higher National Diploma Certificate from an accredited institution
• Registration with the Dental Council of Nigeria
• Valid License to Practice
• WAEC certificate or its equivalent

16. MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST

• Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) degree from an accredited institution
• Registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria
• Valid License to Practice
• NYSC Discharge / Exemption Certificate
• WAEC certificate or its equivalent
