Civil Maintenance Coordinator at Dover Engineering Limited

Job Summary:

To coordinate civil maintenance services for civil infrastructure assets in the company and ensure that civil infrastructure assets are maintained in line with company civil specifications and standards, while also implementing the safe systems of work (SSOW) processes to infrastructure maintenance activities so that they are conducted in a safe manner in accordance with company HSSE procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures civil infrastructure maintenance activities are carried out safely in accordance with HSSE procedures.
  • Enforces compliance with the safe system of work (SSOW) requirements, including PTW conditions and PPE compliance on infrastructure maintenance activities, and enforces the stop work policy where unsafe conditions are observed.
  • Ensure that civil jobs are executed in line with company standards, procedures, and work instructions, thereby facilitating realization of the organizational goals of best-in-class assets integrity and reliability.
  • Support development and implementation of maintenance plans. Supervise maintenance activities. Document maintenance records in the Maintenance Management System (CMMS) ensuring the lessons learnt are properly captured for process improvement.
  • Carries out online quality control for all infrastructure maintenance activities on routine maintenance activities, campaigns, and projects.
  • Drive maintenance efficiency improvements to deliver high levels of team productivity and ensure alignment of civil activities with other maintenance units. Ensures optimal allocation of resources to maintenance activities.
  • Assists in developing and keeping up to date, as part of the company Quality Management System (QMS), infrastructure maintenance procedures and instructions, and maintains project ‘lessons learnt list’ for improving improves standards and practices.
  • Supervises execution of simple engineering changes and projects.
  • Monitors the utilization of maintenance equipment to ensure their continuous availability and tracks the maintenance history for the respective equipment to reduce maintenance equipment downtime and thus enhance maintenance efficiency.
  • Monitors materials utilization to ensure optimal use and thereby preventing waste; assist the Materials supervisor to determine appropriate stock levels for critical materials, and early ordering of replenishments stocks to prevent losses from labor and equipment idle time and thus improving maintenance efficiency.
  • Ensures that Contractor work orders and valuations are correct and prepared timely.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • A minimum of 8 years engineering/construction/inspection/maintenance experience in the oil and gas industry

Technical / Business Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of civil/structural engineering.
  • Hands on competency in the use of data base programs e.g. Microsoft office
  • Hands on competency in the use of CMMS
  • Working knowledge of industrial HSE policies and practices e.g. Observe, Intervene and Report, SSOW, etc.
