Martins Amewhule, others will be removed from office by a Court of competent Jurisdiction ~PDP Tells Tony Okocha

The Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State has told the Chairman, of the APC Caretaker Committee, Tony Okocha that it is too late for him to realize that the Lawmakers who defected from the PDP to the APC would be removed from office by a Court of competent Jurisdiction.

Publicity Secretary of PDP Caretaker Committee, Tambari Sydney Gbara who made the remark while reacting to a statement credited to Tony Okocha said Mr Okocha knew all along that the Lawmakers by their action violated the constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended, and would pay dearly for their action.

Recall that Mr Okocha had alleged that Governor Siminialayi Fubara would in the coming days procure judgement that would stop the 27 Lawmakers who defected from the PDP to the APC from carrying out legislative duties.

The PDP Publicity Secretary informed Mr Okocha that Governor Siminialayi Fubara does not need to procure judgment as the litany of cases instituted by well-meaning Rivers people were enough to interpret the position of section 109 1g of the nation’s groundwork to their understanding.

“The provisions of section 109 1g of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria are explicit enough, therefore Tony Okocha and his illegal assembly members knew that their seats were vacant and that they were operating illegitimately.
Governor Fubara is too busy with State matters and cannot think of procurement of judgment as it is not in his character. We know that Tony Okocha and his newfound benefactor are notorious for procuring judgment from a certain Judge of the Federal High Court, Abuja. Governor Sim Fubara cannot be part of that sad charade”.

The PDP Publicity Secretary maintained that rather than Tony Okocha to enlighten the ignorant lawmakers on the consequences of their actions, he is making wild allegations which have become part of his shameful identity.
