No one is prepared to be a Governor after me ~Gov Wike.

The Rivers State Governor, Barr. E.N Wike has disclosed that no one is really prepared to become a Governor after his tenure.

Wike made the statement during the Party’s Stakeholders meeting at the Government house on Tuesday, 1st February 2022.

According to him, He said “Which one of you eying the governorship can singlehandedly finance the party’s campaign across the 23 LGAs ?
“You remember that when i was a minister fighting a seating governor, I bought 3 buses for each LGA; for GDI coordinators, Party chairmen and campaign directors across the 23 LGAs.

“That was because I was very prepared for what I wanted. How many of you can afford it, or you are just waiting for me ?

“To be governor, you have to check yourself if you’re actually prepared for it”

While speaking about his ambition as the Vice president under the people’s democratic Party, PDP.

He said ” Just Forget about the propaganda and posters you’re seeing on social media. I have not said that I want to run for any office and even if I want to run, nobody can stop me. I have not discussed to be vice to anybody and nobody is vice to me. All those things are speculations and imaginations of those who are afraid of us.

Recall that the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike had on 31st December 2019 warned new commissioners and special advisers in the State to forget about 2023 governorship position and focus on the implementation of the 2020 budget of the State.

The warning was issued while swearing in 13 commissioners and 15 special advisers at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Monday.

He told his new aides to resign immediately if they were in his administration to look for money to run for 2023 governorship position.
