The Ahoada Police Division on Saturday 8, July,2023 raided den of a dreaded cultists at Udebu community in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State led by one ‘General’ Worldwide.
Area talk gathered that ‘General’ Worldwide and other members of his gang on sighting the Police took to their heels while items such as Shrine chamber, motorcycle, generator set, guns, ammunition, one locally fabricated pistol, military uniforms, cult insignias were recovered while the camp was destroyed .
In a related development, a gunman who went to rob a POS operator at new road Ahoada on Saturday 8, July,2023 was arrested by the Police while a revolver pistol was said to have been recovered from the suspect.
In response to enquiry by our reporter on the two incidents, the Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe Koko confirmed the raid of ‘General’ Worldwide camp and recovery of some exhibits.SP Koko added that investigation is ongoing.
SP Koko however, said she was yet to be briefed on reported arrest of the armed robber.
Recall that the Police in Ahoada East and West LGAs has raided the camps of ‘General’ Worldwide, ‘General’ 2baba, ‘General’ Danger, ‘General’ Odereike in the past two weeks, while the ‘Generals’ narrowly escaped due to the difficult terrain of their camps.
