Job Summary:

Ensure significant cost savings and efficiencies in the procurement and delivery of materials to support company’s operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and cost-efficient procurement of high-quality materials and ensure optimal level of these materials at all times.
  • Ensure that the suppliers comply with company’s standards and specifications to avoid substandard materials for production of company products.
  • Maintain records of all registered/approved suppliers/transporters and sub-contractors list and ensure their re-evaluation/re-certification is periodically done in line with company’s policy and update relevant records accordingly.
  • Obtain quotations and proposals from vendors/contractors, analyse same for cost effectiveness and submit for relevant approvals.
  • Ensure prompt negotiation and raising of Local Purchas Orders (LPOs) within prescribed authority limit and ensure correctness of details in the LPOs while delivery is scheduled to ensure hitch free operations.
  • Follow up on vendors’ bills and ensure bills/invoices are paid in line with company’s policies and agreed terms.
  • Maintain the Plant Spend Analysis for all categories of materials to support market survey/intelligent.
  • Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as may be required and submit same to Supply Chain Manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or any other related fields
  • Must have a minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in procurement in a manufacturing environment.
  • Procurement and Logistics skills
  • Membership of relevant professional body, an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Presentation
