Daystar Power Group is a Pan-African provider of solar and hybrid power solutions, offering its systems on a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), fixed monthly fee lease or buy-out basis

We are looking to engage competent and experienced Project Engineers to install, maintain and operate our large capacity sites in Nigeria. He or she will work with the Head of Installation to install PV inverters, commission new equipment, and increase customer satisfaction through quality service and professional behaviour. We are seeking a hardworking, motivated, and well-organized individuals with a focus on continuous improvement to exceed expectations.

Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Developing project plans to execute sales contracts.
  • Designing and planning solar power installations.
  • Leading the supply chain process including sourcing and ordering parts internationally and locally.
  • Conducting quality assurance of technical installations of both Daybreak’s team as well as the installations of our technical partners.
  • Directing, coordinating, and supervising the installations of solar power solutions; and
  • Training clients on the operation and optimal utilization of systems

Sales Engineering

  • Leading client conversations through emails, phone calls and in person meetings.
  • Performing energy audits on client sites.
  • Designing of PV systems (on grid, off grid, hybrid).
  • Developing sales proposals to drive the sales process.
  • Preparing and submitting tender documents (specifications, bill of quantities, drawings, etc.) and designs as per requirements.
  • Driving the full sales process from proposal drafting to contract execution; and
  • Working with the legal department in respect of all draft agreements in connection with your role.

Other Responsibilities include;

  • Actively monitoring site performance and preparation of monthly reports for clients.
  • Resolving site issues remotely and through site visits; and
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Serving as the first line of contact for any client complaints.
  • Implement standard operating procedures and HSE standards for solar installation work.
  • Review technological trends in the local and global energy sector.
  • Develop and coach technical staff.
  • Assist in market research and identify energy projects in Ghana.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ work experience in Electrical Engineering roles and managing large scale and industrial projects in the solar industry (preferred) or power industry.
  • Preferably a professional engineer with NSE, COREN and engineering certifications
  • Proficiency in English.
  • HSE certification is an advantage.
  • Flexible to travel domestically and internationally.
