Job Summary

The IT Officer is responsible for installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners in all locations. Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks. Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests. Providing technical support across the company.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Installing and configuring the company’s computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
  • Keeping records of all IT-related equipment
  • Working with the internet service providers to ensure seamless internet connection in all locations.
  • Ensuring that the call centre solution works perfectly well.
  • Ensuring that the CUG lines are active.
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Testing new technology
  • Test, evaluate, and make decisions about new technology for the business.
  • Participate in business-wide meetings to provide insight into technical requirements.
  • Possibly training more junior staff members
  • Any other job that might be assigned by the IT manager

Requirements:

  • HND or B.Sc. in any discipline
  • A higher degree will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of two years experience in a relevant field Knowledge of customer service experience in the aviation industry will be an advantage
  • Must be able to work late hours and multi task.
