2025 National Universities Commission Recruitment (Graduates & Non-Graduates)

The National Universities Commission (NUC) is a Nigerian government agency set up to regulate higher education in Nigeria. It is a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Education (FME).

The National Universities Commission (NUC), Nigeria’s apex regulatory agency for university education, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions below at its headquarters in Abuja:

1. Senior Officer- CONTISS 9

Requirements:

• PhD Degree in disciplines relevant to the Commission’s mandate or
• Master’s degree plus at least four years’ post-qualification cognate experience or
• First degree plus at least six years’ post-qualification cognate experience
• Application is open to all eligible Nigerian citizens between the ages of 18 to 50 and are required to possess appropriate qualifications, competencies, skills, and orientation.
• NYSC discharge/exemption certificate, digital skills and computer literacy are required.
• Possession of additional professional qualifications shall be an advantage.

2. Trainee / Officer 1 – CONTISS 8

Requirements:

• Masters degree in disciplines relevant to the Commission’s mandate or
• First degree plus at least three years’ post-qualification cognate experience.
• Application is open to all eligible Nigerian citizens from the ages of 18 to 50 and are required to possess appropriate qualifications, competencies, skills, and orientation.
• NYSC discharge/exemption certificate, digital skills and computer literacy are required
• Possession of additional professional qualifications shall be an advantage.

3. Trainee / Officer II – CONTISS 7

Requirements:

• A first degree in disciplines relevant to the Commission’s mandate
• Application is open to all eligible Nigerian citizens from the ages of 18 to 50 and are required to possess appropriate qualifications, competencies, skills, and orientation.
• NYSC discharge/exemption certificate, digital skills and computer literacy are required.

4. Confidential Secretary I – CONTISS 7

Requirements:

• Applicants must possess at least a Higher National Diploma in Secretarial Studies, plus at least three years post-qualification cognate experience.
• NYSC discharge/exemption certificate, digital skills and computer literacy shall be required for applicants.

5. Assistant Cameraman – CONTISS 5

Requirements:

• Applicants must possess at least a National Diploma in either Cinematography or Mass Communication from a recognised institution.
• Cognate experience shall be an advantage.

6. Data Processing Assistant – CONTISS 5

Requirements:

• Applicants must possess at least a National Diploma in fields relevant to the Commission’s mandate.
• Cognate experience shall be an advantage.

7. Artisan / Craftsman (Carpenter) – CONTISS 4 Or 3

Requirements:

• Applicants must possess at least ‘O’ Level Certificate or its equivalent, Class II/III Trade Test Certificate in the appropriate trade.
• Technical training and cognate experience on the subject matter shall be an advantage.
• Application is open to all eligible Nigerian citizens from the ages of 18 to 50 and are required to possess appropriate qualifications, competencies, skills, and orientation.

8. Artisan / Craftsman (Plumber) – CONTISS 4 Or 3

Requirements:

• Applicants must possess at least ‘O’ Level Certificate or its equivalent, Class II/III Trade Test Certificate in the appropriate trade.
• Technical training and cognate experience on the subject matter shall be an advantage.
• Application is open to all eligible Nigerian citizens from the ages of 18 to 50 and are required to possess appropriate qualifications, competencies, skills, and orientation.

9. Artisan / Craftsman (Electrician) CONTISS 4 or 3

Requirements:

• Applicants must possess at least ‘O’ Level Certificate or its equivalent, Class II/III Trade Test Certificate in the appropriate trade.
• Technical training and cognate experience on the subject matter shall be an advantage.
• Application is open to all eligible Nigerian citizens from the ages of 18 to 50 and are required to possess appropriate qualifications, competencies, skills, and orientation.

10. Artisans / Craftsman (Air-conditioning Mechanic) – CONTISS 4 or 3

Requirements:

• Applicants must possess at least ‘O’ Level Certificate or its equivalent, Class II/III Trade Test Certificate in the appropriate trade.
• Technical training and cognate experience on the subject matter shall be an advantage.
• Application is open to all eligible Nigerian citizens between the ages of 18 to 50 and are required to possess appropriate qualifications, competencies, skills, and orientation.

11. Lift Operator – CONTISS 4 or 3

Requirements:

• Applicants must possess at least a First School Leaving Certificate.
• Technical training and cognate experience in the operation of lifts shall be an advantage.
• Application is open to all eligible Nigerian citizens between the ages of 18 to 50 and are required to possess appropriate qualifications, competencies, skills, and orientation.

12. Motor Driver / Mechanic – CONTISS 4 or 3

Requirements:

• Applicants must possess at least an ‘O’ Level Certificate or its equivalent, Class II/III Trade Test Certificate for Motor Mechanic Work, plus a valid Class ‘C’ Driving license.
• Cognate experience shall be an advantage.
• Application is open to all eligible Nigerian citizens between the ages of 18 to 50 and are required to possess appropriate qualifications, competencies, skills, and orientation.
