Immaculate Heart of Mary Specialist Hospital, a renowned healthcare facility committed to providing exceptional medical services, is currently seeking a highly qualified Maintenance Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Managing the maintenance team: Supervising a team of maintenance technicians and providing guidance, support, and training to ensure a high level of performance and efficiency.
Facility maintenance: Planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules for all hospital equipment, including medical devices, electrical systems, plumbing, and general infrastructure.
Repairs and troubleshooting: Identifying and addressing equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions to hospital operations.
Compliance and safety: Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with safety standards, regulations, and hospital policies to guarantee a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Budget management: Developing and managing the maintenance unit budget effectively, optimizing resources, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Vendor management: Liaising with external contractors and suppliers for specialized maintenance services and negotiating contracts in collaboration with the Procurement Unit to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Record-keeping: Maintaining accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment service histories, and inventory levels.
Continuous improvement: Identifying opportunities for enhancing maintenance procedures, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of innovation within the maintenance team.
Requirements:
- HND/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar managerial role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong technical knowledge of hospital equipment and systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
