Wazobia TV and Wazobia Max TV are Nigeria’s First Pidgin English broadcasting television channels available on Wazobia Max TV (DSTV 259); Wazobia Max TV UHF 57 (Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt); Wazobia TV (GOTV 98, Startimes 195, MYTV 179, and Free TV 744).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

◾Job Title: Newscaster / Show Host
◾Location: Rivers

Responsibilities

  • Newscater will be responsible for presenting radio audience.
  • Monitors local, national, and international news sources multiple times daily.
  • Verifies information with sources and ensures the accuracy of the news report.
  • Writes and edits news scripts when necessary.
  • Responsible for fact-checking, presenting relevant information
  • Participate actively in the editorial meeting to set the agenda for the day.
  • Collaborate with the news department to set news agenda for the day.
  • Revise scripts and prepare to deliver on-air seamlessly.

Requirements:

  • B.Sc in Journalism, Communications or any relevant field.
  • 2-5 year experience working as a Newscaster / Radio host.
  • Must have a great diction and good comand of english language.
  • Having experience as a show host is an added advantage.
  • Must have an excellent understanding of News, current affairs, and politics.
  • Proven work experience as a Newscaster / Editor
  • Excellent communication skills, time management skills & Ability to multi task.
