Job Summary

The Radiology Manager (Radiographer) will oversee the operational, clinical, and administrative functions of the radiology department within the Diagnostic Services. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality imaging services, maintaining patient safety, and enhancing the efficiency of radiology operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day to day operations of the Radiology department including scheduling and workflow management
• Supervise and manage radiology staff, and evaluating performance.
• Oversee the scheduling and coordination of imaging services, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of imaging services, implementing quality improvement initiatives as needed.
• Manage and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including radiation safety standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless integration of radiology services within the broader healthcare delivery system.
• Oversee the maintenance and procurement of radiology equipment, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to radiographers and other staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and clinical protocols.
• Develop and implement training programs for radiology staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as safety and quality standards.
• Monitor and evaluate departmental performance metrics, and make changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
