An 11 years old girl identified as blessing has committed suicide in Rumuolumeni community, Obio Akpor Local Government of Rivers State.
The incident which happened at the early hours of Thursday, 18th August, 2022 4871" data-ad-format="auto"> had attracted passerby and residents of the area.
According to a resident of the street who Spoke with our reporter said miss blessing who hails from Ibaa Community in Emohua local Government Area of the State has been residing in the community with her mother until her death.
Meanwhile, it was learnt that a ritual must be carried out according to the tradition of the people for cleansing before the girl can be removed from the scene and buried. Also, the person who performs the removal will be banished from the land.
It was also gathered that 2 weeks ago the uncle of the girl also committed suicide.
In other to dispose his body, the family paid heavily and contracted a certain stranger from Hausa who was banished from the land after he removed the dead body.
As at time of filing the report, the body of the eleven year old girl is still at the scene.
