OSPAC Member Kills Self In Ikwerre Community

An OSPAC member simply identified as Elemchukwu was said to have killed himself through an accidental discharge of his dane gun at Ubima Community,Ikwerre local Government area of Rivers State.

The Vice Chairman of OSPAC in Ubima, Mr. Amadi Goodluck in an interview with journalists explained that the OSPAC member died as a result of accidental discharge contrary to information making rounds that two OSPAC members were involved in a shoot out which led to the death of Elemchukwu.

Mr. Goodluck said he was in his office about 8am yesterday when he received information that Elemcgukwu has shot himself dead.

He explained that he went to the place and asked people in the vicinity what transpired and he was told that after the deceased bought some items from a shop, he was about climbing his motorcycle when the head of his dane gun fell on the ground and a bullet discharged from the gun hit him on the head resulting to his death.

The OSPAC Vice Chairman dismissed insinuation that there was a shoot out between OSPAC members in the community.

As of the time of filing this report we gathered that the deceased has been buried.
