First Independent Power Limited (FIPL), a subsidiary of Sahara Power Group, is a privately owned company in the business of power generation in Nigeria located in Rivers State.

  • Job Title: Senior Technical Buyer
  • Job Category: Contracting & Procurement
  • Job Location: Port Harcourt, Nigeria
  • Job Type: Full Time

Job Responsibilities.

  • Manage procurement of all technical materials, goods and services
  • Ensure cost, cash, quality and service optimization
  • Manage & execute contracts based on formal legal T&C’s
  • Add value through strategic sourcing, value engineering, innovation, delivery
  • and risk management
  • Optimize inventory while ensuring timeliness of deliveries & reduction in
  • procedural delays
  • Influence stakeholder relationships to achieve purchasing objectives,
  • implement innovation strategy and business needs change
  • Continuously gather, analyse, interpret & act upon market intelligence
  • Communicate internal stakeholders as appropriate
  • Feedstock and market assumptions translated into annual budget and
  • quarterly reforecast of portfolio spend

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • Post graduate qualification/or relevant professional qualification will be an added
  • advantage
  • Minimum of ten (10) years relevant work experience, four (4) of which must have been in a supervisory role
