National Directorate of Employment is the foremost agency in charge of job creation in Nigeria.

The National Directorate of Employment NDE is calling on all interested young Nigerians, graduates, or non-graduate, including physically challenged persons, to apply for its 2025 Skills Acquisition Schemes and Job For All Recruitment.

Below are different schemes that Nigerians can benefit from.

  • Vocational Skills Development (VSD).
  • Small Scale Enterprise (SSE).
  • Special Public Works (SPW).
  • Rural Employment Promotion Programme (REPP).

1. VOCATIONAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT (VSD)

The Vocational Skills Development programme is one of the Directorate’s job creation programme primarily concerned the equipping the unemployed with productive, functional and marketable skills. The skills acquisition intervention, introduced as a novel approach in combating mass unemployment, has remained a veritable tool since the inception of NDE in 1987.

This special vocational training is designed for unskilled and unemployed persons with special needs [i.e. vulnerable, physically challenged, widows, commercial sex workers, displaced persons, orphans etc] in order to empower them with functional skills that will enable them to become self-employed and self-reliant

Skills include:

  • Quick-Fix Demand Driven Development And Empowerment
  • Digital skills Training
  • Community Based Training and Empowerment
  • Techno-Cultural Craft Training Scheme etc
  • Special Vocational Training For The Persons With Special Needs And Internally Displaced Persons

2. Small Scale Enterprise Programme (SSEP).

  • Start Your Own Business (SYOB)
  • Enterprise and Finance Counseling Clinic (NDE-efcc)
  • Matured Peoples’ Programme (MPP)
  • Micro Enterprises Enhancement Scheme (MEES)
  • Basic Business Training (BBT) etc

3. Rural Employment Promotion Programme

  • Sustainable Agricultural Development Training Scheme (SADTS).
  • Organic Agricultural Training Scheme (OATS).
  • Fish Production and Feed Formulation Training Scheme (FPFFTS).
  • Microlivestock Agricultural Training Scheme (MATS).
  • Small Stock (Goat) Production Empowerment Scheme (SSGPES).

4. Special Public Works Programme

  • Solar Energy Training and Empowerment Scheme
  • Environmental Beautification Training and Empowerment Scheme.
  • Graduate Attachment Programme (GAP) etc,
  • Graduate Coaching Scheme (GCS).

General Requirements:

  • Applicants must be Nigerian by birth
  • Applicants must be between the ages of 18 years and Above
  • Must Posses a minimum of SSCE including Mathematics and English Language.
