The Niger Delta Development Commission is a federal government agency established by former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo in the year 2000, with the sole mandate of developing the oil-rich Niger Delta region of Nigeria

In line with its mandate to build human capacity and enhance Skills Development in the Niger Delta Region, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) invites Niger Delta Youths in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Vehicle Conversion Programme Across the Nine States in the Region.

About The Training Program

The Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Vehicle Conversion Training Programme which aligns with the mandate of the Niger Delta Development Commission is aimed at providing beneficiaries with veritable skills in Autogas Conversion Technology.

The programme amongst other benefits, will contribute to the development of a more reliable and sustainable transportation sector which will directly stimulate economic growth through job creation and increased demand for Autogas specialists, to further aid in the reduction of harmful emissions in line with NDDC’s commitment to environment conservation and sustainability.

Eligibility

The participants must be indigenes from any of the nine (9) states in the Niger Delta Region. Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Abia, Imo, Cross River, Ondo

Requirements:

  • A minimum qualification of SSCE/WAEC in Science related subjects, OND (Sciences) / Trade Test Certificate from any recognized institution.
  • Other recognized technical qualification related to automotive, mechanical or allied trades.
  • Fresh graduates in engineering courses within the Niger Delta, with passion and clear vision for CNG Conversion Technology may also apply.
  • Age: 18yrs – 35yrs.

Compulsory Documents to Upload:

  • National Identity Number
  • Recent Passport
  • Local Government Identification certificates
  • School Certificate.

  • Application will only be received online through the provided NDDC web portal.
  • The applicant is expected to complete the form once as multiple applications will attract automatic disqualification.
  • Only selected candidates will be contacted and they will be required to produce original copies of their educational certificates, Local Government Identification certificates, etc., before the final selection.
  • Beneficiaries of previous NDDC skills Acquisition and Empowerment Programmes are not eligible to apply.
