According to Dr. Elizabeth who is the Church Coordinator and Contact been published for Clarifications said the management should have contacted the number as seen instead of tagging her as an unknown person from the hospital, describing it as Character Assassination.
In a statement signed by Elizabeth Amadi-Okah (PhD), University of Port Harcourt. Registry Department which reads partly states as follows

“My attention has been drawn to certain misrepresentation in a news report from the Management through the PRO of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) entitled:
“University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) FREE SURGICAL OUTREACH HOLDS 17TH SEPTEMBER,2022”.
“In the report, the Management of UPTH through the Ag. Public Relations Officer, Elabha A. Meni made a refutal of a faceless Dr Lizzy Okah who claimed to be a staff of UPTH holding a free surgical Outreach.

“I wish to state that an unambiguous notice of Free Surgical Outreach Organized by my church, Christ Embassy Ceph Zone 1 was going to be carried out by group of Drs *from* UPTH among other Drs too. Thish Outreach was to hold from Wednesday 14th – 17th September, 2022. I notified those in my contact who might have surgery case but unable to carry out such due to lack of funds to private chat me accordingly. And all those who genuinely reached us were referred to the Surgeons and were attended to.
“It is pertinent to note that Christ Embassy Zone1 has been holding outreaches, this being one of such.
“The UPTH Management made a very grave mistake or should I say an editorial blunder by referring to me as impersonator (to be a staff of UPTH) with the intension to defraud.
I wish to state that;
1. I am Comrade Elizabeth Amadi-Okah (PhD), a serving staff of University of Port Harcourt, Registry Department.
2. That I neither said, posted nor invited people for free surgical outreach holding at UPTH.
3. That I am not a faceless person claiming to be a staff of UPTH with the intent to defraud anyone.
4. I am a worthy Ambassador of the 14 Communities of Elele Alimini in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State and I am so recognised by my People.
“For the avoidance of doubt that I am a virtuous Woman with impeccable character, a God fearing woman who has been in the service of the University of Port Harcourt for 24 years and still counting.
“That this riposte is very necessary to counter the misleading, misrepresentation, character assassination and misinformation put up by the Management of UPTH without taking into consideration Civil Service ethics, principles and rules in investigative reporting. That there was no formal and or informal invitation or call from the Management of UPTH over such serious allegation even when they had my phone no which they made public.
“I wish to reiterate that I never made any post claiming to be a staff of UPTH holding a free medical outreach for whatsoever reasons.
“I, therefore, demand an apology from the Management of UPTH for character defamation. And I advise that the Management of UPTH should always verify their stories before any defamatory publication” She said.
At this juncture, we sincerely wish to use this medium to apologize for the caption and the logo of UPTH in our Publication which should have been that of Christmas Embassy Church.
