Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, was previously known as Rivers State College of Education from June 1971- October 2009.

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment to various teaching and non-teaching positions at the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni, P.M.B. 5047, Port Harcourt.

NON-TEACHING POSITIONS

1. REGISTRY DEPARTMENT

Administrative Officer 2 (CONTISS 7).

• Candidate must possess a good honours University degree preferably in the Humanities or Social from a recognized University,  plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.

Executive Officer CONTISS 6.

• A candidate must possess a minimum of NCE or diploma or OND from a recognized institution

Legal Officer  2 (CONTISS 8)

• A candidate must possess a minimum of first degree in law LL.B from recognized university. must also be called to the Bar Plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate

Confidential Secretary 2 )CONTISS 7) 

• A candidate must possess a degree in Secretarial studies from a recognizing university or HND in secretarial Administration from a recognized relevant institution,  Plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/ Exclusion certificate

Clerical Officer 2(CONTISS 3)

• A candidate must possess five (5)  credits including English language and mathematics at SSC or is equivalent at not more than two (2) sittings.

Cleaner (CONTISS 1)

• A candidate must possess a minimum of First School leaving certificate (fslc)

2. BURSARY DEPARTMENT

Senior Accountant (CONTISS 9)

• A candidate must possess a minimum of a degree from a recognizing investing and a professional accountancy qualification (ACA,ACCA ACMA CNA). Candidate must also possesses   NYSC Discharge/Exemption/ exclusion certificate

Accountant I ( CONTISS 8)

• A candidate must possess a minimum of a degree in accounting with (3) years post-qualification experience or a master’s degree in Accounting  from a recognized University. Candidate must also possess NYSC Discharge/Exemption/ Exclusion certificate

Accountant 2  ( CONTISS 7)

• Candidate must possess a minimum of a degree in Accounting from a recognized University plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/ Exclusion certificate

Executive Officer (Accounts) ( CONTISS 6)

• A candidate Must possess a diploma or HND in Accountancy from a recognized institution with five credits including English language and mathematics at SSC or is equivalent at not more than two sittings.

Store Keeper  ( CONTISS 3)

• A candidate must possess five credits including English language and mathematics at SSC or is equivalent at not more than two sittings

3. INTERNAL AUDIT

Internal Auditor 1 ( CONTISS 8)

• A candidate must possess a master’s degree in Accounting from a recognized University with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification cognate experience. Candidate must also possess NYSC Discharge/Exemption/ Exclusion certificate. Possession of a recognized professional accountancy qualification is an added advantage

Internal Auditor 2 ( CONTISS 7)

• A candidate must possess a degree in accounting from a recognized University or HND in accountancy from a recognized relevant institution with at least 2 years post-qualification experience plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/ Exclusion certificate

4. LIBRARY DEPARTMENT

Library  Officer  (CONTISS 6)

• A candidate must possess a diploma or HND and library science from a recognized institution with at least list 3 years post-qualification experience

Library  Attendants 2 ( CONTISS 2)

• A candidate must possess SSC or is equivalent with credit pass in five subjects including English language and mathematics at Not more than 2  sittings

Bindery/Printing/Attendant ( CONTISS 2)

• A candidate must possess SSC or is equivalent with credit pass in five subjects including English language and mathematics, at not more than two sittings

5. HEALTH SERVICES DEPARTMENT

Medical Officer 2 ( CONTISS 11)

• the Candidate must possess a Degree in Medicine and registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.

Pharmacist (CONTISS 9)

• the Candidate must possess a University degree in Pharmacy, registered with the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.

Staff Nurse/Midwife (CONTISS 7)

• The Candidate must possess the NRN or NCM or equivalent qualification and must has duly registered with the Nursing and Midwife Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

Nursing officer 2 (CONTISS 6)

• A candidate must possess a minimum of B.SC Degree in nursing from a recognized University and registered with the nursing and midwife council of Nigeria (NMCN) plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate

Community health officer 2 (CONTISS 6)

• A candidate must possess a degree in community health from a recognized University plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate

Medical Laboratory Scientist 2 ( CONTISS 8)

• A candidate must possess associate membership of the Institute of medical laboratory Technologies (AIMIT) or Degree in medical laboratory science from a recognized University and registered with the Institute of medical laboratory of Nigeria plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate

Medical laboratory Technologist 2 (CONTISS 7)

• A candidate must possess a B.Tech from a recognized University or Final diploma of the Nigerian institute of Science and Technology (NIST) or HND/HNC with at least 3 years post-qualification experience plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate

Senior assistant medical laboratory technologist (CONTISS 6)

• A candidate must possess OND or ONC from a relevant institution or intermediate certificate of the Nigerian institute of Science and Technology (NIST)

A candidate must possess any of the following

• Associate membership of the Association of Medical Records Technicians
• Associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators
• Certificate of registration of the Institute of medical laboratory technology for Technical Cadre after successful completion of the prescribed three (3) years of training program

6. PHYSICAL PLANNING DEPARTMENT

Physical planning officer 2 ( CONTISS 7)

• A candidate most possessed a degree in Architecture from a recognized University plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate

Engineer 2 (Civil) (CONTISS 7)

• A candidate must possess a degree and civil engineering from a recognized University plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate

Engineer 2 (Mechanical) ( CONTISS 7)

• A candidate must possess a degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized University plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate

Engineer 2 (Electrical) (CONTISS 7)

• A candidate must possess a degree in electrical engineering from a recognized University plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate

Quantity Surveyor 2 (CONTISS 7)

• The candidates must possess a degree or HND in quantity survey from a recognized relevant institution plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate

• A candidate must possess a B.Tech from a recognized University or final diploma of the Nigerian institute of Science and Technology (NIST) or HND/HNC from recognized relevant institutions with at least three years post-qualification experience plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate

Agricultural superintendent (CONTISS 6)

• A candidate most possess a diploma In OND/ONC in agricultural science from a recognized relevant institutions.

Workshop Technologist (CONTISS 7)

• A candidate must possessed a B.Sc. Ed in technical education from a recognized university plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate

Laboratory attendant (CONTISS 2)

• A candidate must possess SSC or is equivalent with credit passes in five (5) subjects, including English language and mathematics at Not more than two (2) sittings

Home Economics workshop Attendant (CONTISS 2)

• A candidate must possess SSC or is equivalent with credit passes in five subjects, including English language and mathematics, at not more than two sittings. Must also have relevant skills in Catering, Tailoring and home making.

8 INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

Computer system Technologist/Analyst/Programmer/Engineer 1 (CONTISS 8)

• A candidate must possess a degree or HND in computer science or information science from a recognized relevant institutions with at least five (5) years post-qualification experience plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate

Computer system Technologist/Analysts/Programmer/Engineer 2 (CONTISS 7)

• A candidate must possess a degree or HND in computer science or information science from recognized relevant institutions with at least three (3) years post-qualification experience plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate

Higher Data Processing Officer (CONTISS 7)

• A candidate must possess an OND in data processing or computer science from a registered institution plus at least five years post-qualification cognate experience

9 Security Department

Security Officer 2 (CONTISS 7)

• A candidate must possess a degree in law/criminology/ social work/schychology or any other relevant discipline with plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate and at least three (3) years post-qualification experience

Assistant Security Officer (CONTISS 6)

• A candidate must possess SSC or is equivalent at not more than two sittings with credit in five subjects including English language and mathematics Plus at least three years experience as police inspector or warrant officer in the Nigerian armed forces.
• The candidate must also possess certificate in safety and security

Patrol man 2 (CONTISS 2)

• A candidate must possess SSC or is equivalent with credit passes in five subjects including English language and mathematics or ex-police corporal or is equivalent rank in the armed Forces with clear records of service and three credits including English language and mathematics at SSC or is equivalent

Assistant Patrol Man Supervisor (CONTISS 6)

• A candidate must be an ex-police sergeant or is equivalent rank in the Armed Forces with 5 credits including English language and mathematics at SSC or is equivalent or certificate of diploma in safety and security management.

10 ESTATE DEPARTMENT

Motor/Tractor Driver/Mechanics 3 (CONTISS 2)

• A candidate must possess a Froup E professional driver’s license plus pass in university practical test with one (1) year working experience.

Messenger (CONTISS 4)

• A candidate must possess SSC or is equivalent with credit pass in five (5) subjects including English language and mathematics at not more than two sittings

Labourer (CONTISS 1)

• A candidate must possess the first school leaving certificate (FSLC)

PORTER (CONTISS 2)

• A candidate should possess a minimum of five (5) credits including English language mathematics at SSC or is equivalent not more than two sittings
