FHC dismisses Keyamo’s Suit seeking to Compel investigation of Atiku over SPV Saga.

by Area Talk

A Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed the case filed by Festus Keyamo, SAN, CON, against the candidate of the PDP in the last Presidential Election, Alhaji ATIKU Abubakar over the SPV saga

Justice James Omotoso in his ruling said the law-enforcement agencies were not given enough time to commence investigations before the suit was filed, amongst other sundry reasons.

Keyamo had in the suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/84/2023 accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the February 25 presidential election of money laundering.

He is seeking an order of the court compelling the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC), and the Code of Conduct Bureau to arrest, investigate and if found wanting, prosecute Atiku based on an audio recording released by his former aide, Michael Achimugu.

Meanwhile, Festus Keyamo has vowed to Challenge the judgement at the court of appeal.
