QUALIFICATIONS:
PRINCIPAL ASSISTANT REGISTRAR:

i) A good degree from a recognised university with a minimum of Second Class
Lower Division, plus at least a minimum of twelve (12) years relevant post-qualification work experience, a considerable part of which must be in a higher institution administration and 1 year National Youth Service Corps
Certificate with evidence of Microsoft Certification.

ii) A Master’s degree plus at least a minimum of nine (9) years post-
qualification work experience, a considerable part of which must be in a higher institution’s administration and one (1) year National Youth Service Corps Certificate with evidence of Microsoft Certification.

2. SENIOR ASSISTANT REGISTRAR:

i) A good degree Division from a recognised university with a minimum of Second Class Lower, plus at least a minimum of nine (9) years relevant post-qualification work experience and 1 year National Youth Service Corps Certificate with evidence of Microsoft Certification.

ii) A Master’s degree plus at least a minimum of six (6) years post-qualification work experience and one (1) year National Youth Service Corps Certificate with evidence of Microsoft Certification.

3. ASSISTANT REGISTRAR:

i) A good degree Division from a recognised university with a minimum of Second Class Lower, plus at least a minimum of six (6) years relevant post-qualification work experience and 1 year National Youth Service Corps Certificate with evidence of Microsoft Certification.

ii) A Master’s degree plus at least a minimum of three (3) years post-qualification work experience and one (1) year National Youth Service Corps Certificate with evidence of Microsoft Certification.

4. ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER I:

i) A good degree Division from a recognised university with a minimum of Second Class Lower, plus at least a minimum of three (3) years relevant post-qualification work experience and 1 year National Youth Service Corps Certificate with evidence of Microsoft Certification.

ii) A Master’s degree plus one (1) year NYSC with evidence of Microsoft
Certification.

5. ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER II:

A good degree Division from a recognised university with a minimum of Second Class honours Lower, plus one (1) year National Youth Service Corps Certificate with evidence of Microsoft Certification.

6. EXECUTIVE OFFICER:

Candidates should have Diploma (ND/OND) in the relevant field plus at least a minimum of two (2) years relevant post-qualification work experience with evidence of Microsoft certification or its equivalent and computer proficiency or three (3) subjects at a sitting at the GCE A/L, plus at least a minimum of four (4)
years relevant work experience with evidence of Microsoft certification and computer proficiency.

7. COMPUTER OPERATOR (DATA PROCESSING OFFICER):

Candidate should possess O/level certificate with credit passes in three (3) subjects including English Language, plus Civil Service Training certificate, WASC Business Studies with 500wpm certificate/National Diploma in Data Processing plus two (2) years work experience.

8. PORTER (HALLS OF RESIDENCE):

Candidate should possess WASC/GCE O/L or its equivalent with credit passes in three (3) subjects including English Language.

QUALIFICATIONS
MEDICAL DOCTOR:

Candidate must possess a degree in Medicine (MBBS or its equivalent) from a recognised institution and registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), with evidence of Microsoft Certification.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN:

Candidate must possess a West African School Certificate (WASC) and should have successfully completed a three or four years training programme in a recognised health institution and obtained the registration of the relevant National Practice Board of Nigeria for Technician Cadres.

PHARMACIST:
Candidate must possess a B.Pharm or B.Sc (Pharm) Honours degree, registrable
with the Pharmacist Board of Nigeria and completion of the National Youth Service
Corps with evidence of Microsoft Certification.

NURSE:

Candidate must possess N.R.N. or N.C. N. or N.R. N/N.C.M. or B.Sc with evidence
of Microsoft Certification.

MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST

Candidate must possess a B.Sc (Professional) degree, registrable with professional
bodies (i.e. NISLT, IMLT) with evidence of Microsoft Certification.

MEDICAL RECORDS OFFICER:

Candidate must possess WASC/GCE (O/L) with credit passes in five (5) subjects,
including Health Science plus evidence of Microsoft Certification.

QUALIFICATIONS
CHIEF TECHNOLOGIST:

Candidate must possess HND/B.Sc (professional degree), full Technological
Certificate registrable with any professional bodies (e.g. NISLT, IMLT, COREN),
plus at least a minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant work experience with
evidence of Microsoft Certification and computer proficiency.

ASSISTANT CHIEF TECHNOLOGIST:

Candidate must possess HND/B.Sc (professional degree), full Technological
Certificate registrable with any professional bodies (e.g. NISLT, IMLT, COREN), plus at least a minimum of twelve (12) years relevant work experience with evidence of Microsoft Certification and computer proficiency.

SENIOR TECHNOLOGIST:

Candidate must possess HND/B.Sc (professional degree), full Technological
Certificate registrable with any professional bodies (e.g. NISLT, IMLT, COREN), plus at least a minimum of six (6) years relevant work experience with evidence of Microsoft Certification and computer proficiency.

TECHNOLOGIST I:

Candidate must possess HND/B.Sc (professional degree), full Technological
Certificate registrable with any professional bodies (e.g. NISLT, IMLT, COREN), plus at least a minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience with evidence of Microsoft Certification and computer proficiency.

TECHNOLOGIST II:

Candidate must possess HND/B.Sc (professional degree), full Technological
Certificate registrable with any professional bodies (e.g. NISLT, IMLT, COREN), with evidence of Microsoft Certification and computer proficiency.

V. SECURITY DEPARTMENT

Post Salary Scales

  1. Patrolman – CONTISS 2

QUALIFICATIONS
PATROLMAN:

Candidate must possess WASC/GCE (O/L) or its equivalent with credit passes in three (3) subjects, including English Language, Ex-Serviceman with clear records of service as an advantage.

SENIOR PATROLMAN:

Candidate must be Ex-Serviceman with clear records of service having WASC/GCE (O/L) with five (5) credit passes in three (3) subjects, including English Language, plus Microsoft Certification, computer proficiency and five (5)
years working experience as a policeman.

CHIEF PATROLMAN:

i) Candidate must be Ex-Police Corporal with clear records of service or its equivalent rank in the Armed Forces with five (5) credits in WASC/GCE (O/L) including English Language plus ten (10) years working experience as a Policeman and evidence of Microsoft Certification and computer
proficiency.

ii) Must possess WASC or its equivalent with five (5) credits including English Language, plus Diploma in Safety and Security Management and evidence of Microsoft Certification and computer proficiency.

PATROL SUPERVISOR:

Candidate must be a Police Sergeant with clear records of service or equivalent rank in the Armed Forces with five (5) credits in WASC (O/L) or its equivalent with at least ten (10) years working experience as a Policeman, plus evidence of Microsoft Certification and computer proficiency.

ASSISTANT SECURITY OFFICER:

i) Candidate must possess ND/OND/ANTC plus certificate in Safety and Security Management with minimum of three (3) years experience including evidence of Microsoft Certification and computer proficiency.

ii) Must be a Police Sergeant with clear records of service or equivalent rank in the Armed Forces with at least ten (10) year post-WASC with five (5) credits including English Language, plus Diploma in Safety and Security Management with and evidence of Microsoft Certification and computer proficiency.

SECURITY OFFICER:

i) Candidate must be an Inspector of Police or equivalent rank in the Armed Forces with at least a minimum of twelve (12) years experience with a University Honuors degree, plus Diploma in Safety and Security Management with evidence of Microsoft Certification and computer proficiency.

ii) Must be an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) or equivalent rank in the Armed Forces with at least a minimum of twelve (12) years experience with a University Honuors degree, plus Diploma in Safety and Security Management with evidence of Microsoft Certification and computer proficiency.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Successful candidates will be required to assume duty as soon as possible and will
be on probation for the first three (3) years. Thereafter, they will retire at the
approved age of 65 years, or 70 years for those on the professorial cadre.

Candidates could be allowed to transfer their service to the Rivers State University.
Other conditions are similar to those obtaining in other Institutions of higher
learning in Nigeria.
