Police Parade Suspects Who Killed And Chopped Off Head Of 9 Year Old Boy In Ikwerre LGA

Rivers State Police command has paraded three suspects Chibuzor Amadi ,Kenneth Sylvanus and a herbalist Chijoike Ogbonna who allegedly  beheaded a nine year old boy Destiny Peter in Azunmini Isiokpo headquarters of Ikwerre Local Government Area.


Parading the suspects at the State Criminal Investigation Department ,CID; in PortHarcourt , the Police Public Relations Officer Mr Nnamdi Omoni told Newsmen that the boy’s aunty reported to the police about the disappearance of the victim on the 11th of this month which the command  swung into action with some youths from the area that led to the discovery of the headless body of the boy in the bush.

The police image maker said through intelligence gathering, one of the suspects Chibuzor Amadi was arrested who then led them to an uncompleted building where the second suspect Kenneth Sylvanus was also arrested.
”In continuation of the investigation,men of the state CID , immediately took steps and went with the two suspects who gave clearer perspectives to the crime.They led the police to the bush where the dismembered head of the deceased was recovered behind an uncompleted building.”


Mr Omoni said the remains of the deceased had been deposited in the mortuary for autopsy and further investigation.
He appealed for calmness and promised to get to the root of the mindless killing with a view to bringing the culprits to justice.
One of the suspects Kenneth Sylvanus who confessed to have killed his victim explained that the herbalist Chijioike Ogbonnah requested for a human head to buy While the herbalist  denied involvement in the crime.
The Herbalist however claimed  that he sells spiritual materials including treatment of all kinds of ailments.

The third suspect Chibuzor Amadi also confessed that he knew nothing about the  killing of the little boy Destiny Peter.
